Director of Transmission & Engineering 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Manage transmission analysis 

  • Manager interconnection process and keep abreast of RTO processes and queue reform 

  • Determine optimum strategy for interconnecting project output to the electric grid based on curtailment potential, interconnection costs, system impact assessments, real-time energy pricing, and market delivery options. 

  • Run analysis to foster a deep understanding of nodal pricing components of energy, congestion, and marginal losses for Solar + Battery projects, as well as physical losses to support offtake. 

  • Provide analysis of optimum Solar + Battery design and configuration 

  • Ability to manage project engineering and design on portion of projects 

Required Skills 

  • Entrepreneurial drive and hunger to succeed 

  • Intense attention to detail 

  • An advanced understanding of the North American electric industry, with a focus on PJM 

  • Proficiency in Powerworld or PSS/E) 

  • Experience or understanding of PSLF, MATPOWER and PROMOD 

  • Able to establish relationships with transmission planners with ISO/RTOs 

  • Eagerness to bring solutions and show creative thinking to problems or complex issues 

  • Excellent time management skills 

  • Able to communicate effectively in both commercial and technical venues 

  • GIS capabilities a plus but not required

Director of Development 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Management of multiple utility-scale solar development efforts including: o Lead development activities in early, mid, and/or late stages of the project 

    o Directing the project permitting and approval process, including management of external consultants 

    o Identifying and evaluating strategic sites for possible utility-scale solar development 

    o Managing title associated with land rights acquisition and management 

    o Defining and pursuing land rights 

    o Implementing a community outreach program with landowners, community leaders and environmental organizations

Required Skills 

  • Entrepreneurial drive and hunger to succeed 

  • Intense attention to detail 

  • Eagerness to bring solutions to problems rather than just highlighting problems 

    • 4+ year’s experience in the power generation industry.

      • Experience with solar project development, title, real estate development, transmission and power project engineering are preferred. 

    • Ability to manage the simultaneous development of multiple utility-scale solar projects 

    • Excellent time management skills. 

    • Strong public speaking and interpersonal skills. 

    • Ability to write clearly and concisely
